The Brisbane Registry Is Stunning — And Booked 8 Weeks Out.
The Brisbane Registry on the 32nd floor of 180 Ann Street is genuinely beautiful — panoramic mountain-to-bay views, modern ceremony rooms, an excellent team. We will give them that. But it books out 8 weeks in advance, operates on their timetable in their building, and charges from $397 on a weekday just for the ceremony. The marriage certificate costs extra unless you book an evening ceremony.
With I Do Drive Thru you get a registered celebrant at any location you choose, any day of the week, from $400 — with the NOIM lodgement included and your certificate on the day. No building. No 8-week wait. Just wherever you want to be.

Dramatic basalt cliffs rising from the Brisbane River with the city skyline directly across the water. One of Brisbane's most spectacular ceremony backdrops — free to access and genuinely breathtaking at any time of day.
A lush subtropical garden oasis right in the heart of the CBD. Waterfalls, rainforest walks, open lawns and beautiful lake areas. A short walk from the Registry — and a much better story to tell.
One of Brisbane's oldest and most beautiful parks with sweeping river views and gorgeous rose gardens. Next door to the Brisbane Powerhouse — the most Instagrammable park in the city.
Your celebrant comes to you. No permit, no parking, no strangers. Some of our most genuinely moving Brisbane ceremonies have happened right at home — backyard, kitchen table, couch in pyjamas.
🌊 Gold Coast
Golden beaches, hinterland rainforests, waterfall escapes and absolute beachfront ceremony spots. The Gold Coast is one of Australia's most spectacular elopement destinations — and our team knows exactly where to take you.
The headland at Burleigh is one of the most photographed spots on the Gold Coast — dramatic rocky point, golden sand, crystal water. Sunrise here on a weekday is extraordinary.
An hour from the beach and a completely different world — lush rainforest, waterfalls, gorgeous mountain villages and stunning views over the Gold Coast and Nerang valley below.
Elephant Rock at Currumbin is one of the most spectacular natural backdrops on the Gold Coast — a dramatic rock formation rising from the southern end of the beach with the estuary and surf behind it.
Purling Brook Falls — a stunning waterfall 45 minutes from the Gold Coast in World Heritage listed rainforest. For couples who want drama, nature, and something genuinely unforgettable.
🌴 Cairns
Cairns is one of Australia's great destination wedding markets — tropical beaches, ancient rainforest, the Great Barrier Reef on your doorstep. Couples travel from across Australia and around the world to get married here. Our Cairns team is strong, local, and experienced.
25 minutes north of Cairns — pristine golden sand, paperbark lined Esplanade, crystal-clear Coral Sea. One of the most beautiful beach ceremony locations in tropical Australia. Permit required — we handle it.
A lush tropical oasis right in the heart of Cairns — orchids, palms, and vibrant flora in a beautifully maintained garden setting. Free admission. Event permit required for ceremonies.
Cascading waterfalls and crystal-clear pools set deep in the lush rainforest outside Cairns. A hidden gem — peaceful, romantic, and completely unlike anything you would find at a Registry Office.
An hour north of Cairns — Four Mile Beach, tropical luxury, and the kind of setting that makes families understand immediately why you eloped. Our Cairns team covers Port Douglas and surrounding areas.
🤠 Rockhampton
The beef capital of Australia is also home to a small but excellent I Do Drive Thru team. Rockhampton couples get the same quality, the same packages, and the same care as every other city — just with a distinctly Queensland country character and some genuinely beautiful regional ceremony spots including the Botanic Gardens, the Fitzroy River, and the surrounding Capricorn region.
Sunshine Coast · Toowoomba · Noosa · Whitsundays · Townsville · and beyond. Travel fees apply for locations more than 20km from our Queensland city centres — just ask and we will give you an exact quote.

Four steps: 1) Book your I Do Drive Thru celebrant package online. 2) We send your NOIM — fill it in and return it, we lodge it with BDM QLD at least one month before the ceremony. 3) Zoom with your Queensland celebrant to plan the day. 4) Meet at your chosen location and get married in 2 to 7 minutes. Yes — there is no residency requirement to get married in Queensland. International visitors can marry anywhere in QLD using a valid foreign passport as ID. For Brisbane and the Gold Coast, spring (September to November) offers ideal weather — warm, sunny, and before the summer humidity. Autumn (March to May) is also beautiful. For Cairns, the dry season from May to October is the best time — clear skies, lower humidity, and the most spectacular light for photography. The tropical wet season from November to April brings lush green landscapes but also unpredictable rain.
