Legally binding elopements in the USA
One of the biggest concerns when getting married overseas is the legalities of the ceremony. With I Do Drive Thru, as an Australian based company who holds offices in the USA you can rest assured that all of your legal requirements will be met and you will be married in an internationally recognised ceremony and be presented with a legal American wedding certificate at the conclusion of the ceremony.
We work hand in hand with our partners in the USA to ensure that the process to be married in the USA is smooth and simple.
You will make your arrangements and meet your Officiant via zoom before you leave Australia, and complete all of the pre-ceremony paperwork and then once you arrive in the USA your officiant will guide you through the process of being married.

The steps to getting married with an Officiant in the USA via the I Do Drive Thru-
-Make an enquiry through our Contact Us page on our USA website and let us know where you would like to be married - or jump straight in and make a booking here Make a Booking on our USA website
-To book in our service you will pay $100 booking deposit for your Officiant and/or Photographer
-We will then introduce you to your Officiant and/or Photographer who will contact you and set up a time to meet on Zoom, where they can assist you with information and ideas for your elopement as well as information on how to obtain your marriage licence when you arrive in the USA
-The Officiant and/or Photographer will send you an invoice for the balance of the fees
-At the zoom meeting you will learn all about how to apply for your marriage licence and what ID is required, then your Officiant will give you some ideas about how/when/where you can be married
-You will obtain your marriage licence from your local authority (don’t worry we will walk you through this-it’s simple!)
-Then the fun bit! You make your ceremony choices via our online portal, you can choose between a 2, 5 or 7 minute ceremony, with or without personalised vows and a ring exchange
-Your Officiant will meet you at the pre-designated location on your wedding day and dazzle you with an amazing short but sweet ceremony
-After the ceremony you are married! You have the opportunity to get some photos with one of our photographers if you like, what a great way to remember your special day
-We will sign, witness & process your marriage license with the appropriate Registrar’s office and take care of the final legalities for you.
It is very easy to be married with an I Do Drive Thru Officiant, the process is simple, and fun and we have many options and suggestions. Booking a wedding through one of our Officiants is way more flexible then a courthouse wedding and you can choose a beautiful location, somewhere to have a lovely backdrop for your ceremony where you can go to celebrate your wedding anniversary every year! That’s definitely something you cannot do at the courthouse!
