But most Rockhampton locals want to get married right here — in their own backyard, on the family property, in the Botanic Gardens, or in the park down the road. We come to wherever you are. Yeppoon and the Capricorn Coast are about 45 minutes east of Rocky — beautiful tropical beaches, the Keppel Bay foreshore, and some of the most pristine coastal landscapes in Queensland. Mulambin Beach, Pebble Beach, and Emu Park all make gorgeous ceremony settings. Travel fees apply from Rocky — always quoted upfront.
Emu Park is a quiet coastal township with beautiful ocean views and a relaxed atmosphere that is very Central Queensland. The Singing Ship memorial and the foreshore area offer lovely ceremony settings. Keppel Bay views stretch out to the Keppel Islands on a clear day. Travel fees apply.

How It Works in Rocky
Backyard, farm, Botanic Gardens, Capricorn Coast beach — tell us where in CQ and we confirm availability and any travel fees upfront. Ange assigns your celebrant and photographer within one business day.
We send you the Notice of Intended Marriage form and lodge it with BDM Queensland on your behalf. Must be lodged at least one month before the ceremony. Book first, sort the NOIM straight away, and by your day everything is already done.
Meet your celebrant on Zoom. Confirm the location, the ceremony details, and anything personal you want included. Your celebrant is local — they know Rocky, the Botanic Gardens, and the region. On the day there are zero surprises.
Your celebrant meets you at your chosen location. Two to seven minutes later you are legally married in Queensland. Presentation certificate on the day. Marriage registered with BDM Queensland within 14 days. Then Rocky is yours — pub lunch, family BBQ, or back to the property. Whatever feels right.

Yes — the Rockhampton Botanic Gardens are one of our most popular Rocky ceremony locations. Established in 1869, with Japanese gardens, mature plantings and beautiful light throughout the day. Free to access. Small ceremonies generally do not require a formal permit — our celebrant advises on any council notification requirements for your group size.
The Capricorn Caves are 23km north of Rocky and offer one of the most extraordinary and unique ceremony settings in Queensland — particularly the Cathedral Cave. We would love to do ceremonies there. Contact us to discuss availability, the cave's own booking requirements, and travel fees for this location.
Yes — if you want to elope with just the two of you we can supply witnesses at $120 each. This is included as an option in every package. Your photographer can also serve as one witness if needed.
