We meet you at the Redwood Forest, a cellar door, a lookout over the vines, or a pub in Healesville where you are having lunch anyway.
No minimum spend · No venue required · Witnesses supplied · From $400 · 7 Days a week
You Do Not Need a Yarra Valley Venue Package to Get Married Here.
The Yarra Valley wedding industry wants you to believe that getting married here means a minimum $10,000 venue hire, a curated package, and a styled shoot aesthetic. It does not. The legal requirements for marriage in Victoria are the same whether you are standing in the Redwood Forest at Warburton or in a five-star winery ballroom — a registered celebrant, two witnesses, and the required legal words. The rest is up to you.
Our Yarra Valley celebrants meet you wherever you want to be. Free public land costs nothing. A cellar door lunch is whatever you were going to spend on lunch anyway. A lookout over the vines at sunset requires no booking and no minimum spend. This is how most people actually want to get married in the Yarra Valley — they just did not know it was an option.
Where We Will Marry You in the Yarra Valley
The Yarra Valley and Ranges have some of the most diverse and beautiful ceremony locations in Victoria. Here is what we recommend — and what our couples actually choose.
Thousands of towering Californian Redwoods planted in perfect rows off Cement Creek Road near Warburton — the light falling through the canopy is extraordinary at any time of year. Even in rain you will not get drenched under that canopy. Free to access, no permit required for small ceremonies, and one of the most photographically spectacular ceremony locations in Victoria. Best on weekdays when it is genuinely quiet.
Many Yarra Valley cellar doors are happy for small ceremonies to take place on their grounds — particularly on weekdays. You are paying for your wine and lunch, not a venue hire. Get married in the vines, walk inside for a long lunch, and leave as the most relaxed newlyweds in the valley. Ask us which cellar doors work well for this and we will point you in the right direction.
This is genuinely one of our favourite things. Get legally married in the car park, the beer garden, or a private dining room — then walk inside and have the best lunch of your life. Perfect for couples heading overseas to celebrate, couples who want witnesses who happen to be their closest friends, and anyone who thinks a long lunch in the Yarra Valley is an excellent way to start a marriage. We agree.
The highest easily accessible peak in the Yarra Ranges, with sweeping views to Westernport Bay and Port Phillip on a clear day. The Rainforest Gallery walk to the summit is spectacular in every season — in winter you might even get snow. A dramatic backdrop with zero venue cost.
La La Falls near Warburton, Steavenson Falls near Marysville, and the fern gully walks through the Yarra Ranges National Park offer extraordinary rainforest ceremony settings. Best after rain when the falls are running. Wear good shoes — and yes, it is absolutely worth it.
Healesville is the heart of the valley and has no shortage of beautiful parks, gardens, and open spaces perfect for a small ceremony. Combine with a booking at one of the town's excellent restaurants for an easy, beautiful, completely affordable wedding day.
Marysville is one of Victoria's most charming alpine townships — a winter ceremony in the snow at Lake Mountain is something genuinely extraordinary and completely unlike anything available closer to Melbourne. Our team covers the upper ranges.
Many Yarra Valley couples stay overnight in a farmstay, cottage, or glamping property — getting married on-site in the morning before exploring the valley. We come to wherever you are staying. No venue, no strangers, just your own perfect corner of the valley.
✈️ Getting Married in the Valley Before Celebrating Overseas?
One of the most popular I Do Drive Thru combinations: get legally married in Australia first — Redwood Forest, cellar door, pub lunch in Healesville — then fly to Bali, Italy, Greece, or wherever the celebration is happening. Your Australian marriage is legally recognised internationally. The overseas celebration can be exactly what you want it to be. And you will never forget the Tuesday afternoon you got married over a long lunch in the Yarra Valley before your flight.
We are very good at this. Book the ceremony and the lunch on the same day. Lodge your NOIM a month before. Show up and get married. Same-day certificate. Done.

How It Works in the Yarra Valley
Redwood Forest, cellar door, pub, lookout, or your accommodation. If you are not sure, tell us the vibe and we will help you choose. Ange assigns your celebrant and photographer and is in touch within one business day.
We send you the Notice of Intended Marriage form and lodge it with BDM Victoria on your behalf. Must be lodged at least one month before the ceremony — book first, sort the NOIM immediately, and by your day everything is already in order.
Meet your celebrant before the day. Confirm the location, any permits needed (most public land locations require none for small ceremonies), and the ceremony details. On the day there are zero surprises.
Your celebrant meets you at your chosen location. Two to seven minutes later you are legally married in Victoria. Presentation certificate on the day. Marriage registered with BDM Victoria within 14 days. The rest of the day is entirely yours.
The Yarra Valley Welcomes Every Couple
Couples eloping before a trip to Bali. Couples who want the valley without the venue price tag. Second marriages where the only agenda is celebrating properly without the fuss. LGBTQ+ couples. Couples who love wine, food, and forests more than white chairs and styling packages. Couples from every background. We do not judge. We do not ask why. We just show up and make it happen.
All love. Always. From Warburton to Marysville and everywhere in between.
🌿 Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the Yarra Valley and Ranges on which we marry our couples. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the region.
🇦🇺 Australian Owned · Women Led
I Do Drive Thru is an Australian-owned, women-led small business founded in Melbourne in 2020. Our Yarra Valley team has been marrying couples across the region since launch — from the Redwood Forest to the cellar doors to the lookouts and forests of the Ranges.
✅ Never missed a ceremony
We have a team of 118 vetted, Commonwealth-registered celebrants and 104 professional photographers — not gig workers sourced on the day. Every booking is assigned by our Admin Manager Ange to a celebrant who knows your ceremony and is showing up no matter what.

Yes — many Yarra Valley cellar doors are happy for small elopement ceremonies on their grounds, particularly on weekdays. You pay for your wine and lunch, not a venue hire. Yes — and this is extremely common. Get legally married in Australia first with I Do Drive Thru — Redwood Forest, cellar door, or pub lunch in the valley — then celebrate overseas. Your Australian marriage is internationally recognised. The overseas celebration can be exactly what you want. Lodge the NOIM one month before, get married in the valley, certificate on the day, fly out whenever you are ready.
Every season has something extraordinary. Autumn (March–May) brings rich red and gold foliage especially at Marysville and through the Ranges. Winter is cold but the snow at Lake Mountain and the mist through the fern gullies is genuinely magical. Spring (September–November) brings wildflowers and waterfalls. Summer is warm and the light through the Redwoods is spectacular — go early before it heats up and avoid peak weekends at the forest.
Healesville is about 65km from the Melbourne CBD — roughly an hour's drive. Warburton is about 75km, around 1 hour 15 minutes. Marysville is about 100km, roughly 1 hour 30 minutes. All easily accessible for a day trip from Melbourne — and all absolutely worth the drive.
In the Redwoods at Warburton. At a cellar door over lunch. On a lookout with the whole valley below you. Before your flight to Bali. However it looks for you — from $400, any day, anywhere in the Yarra Valley.
