With I Do Drive Thru, your celebrant comes to wherever you want to be — a beach, a park, your backyard, a café, a lookout, your living room couch. Any day of the week. From $400. Same legal outcome. Infinitely better experience.

How Do You Want to Get Married?

Anywhere you can get to, we can marry you there. Here are the ways our couples do it most.

How It Works — Four Steps

1
Book your package

Pick your celebrant package, decide whether you want a photographer, and tell us where you want to get married. Beach, park, backyard, café, rooftop, car — anywhere within 20km of your capital city at no extra travel cost. Book directly on the site and you are in the system.

2
We send you your NOIM — you fill it in and lodge it with us

After booking we send you your Notice of Intended Marriage form with full instructions on how to complete it. You fill it in and return it to us — we handle the lodgement with BDM on your behalf. Under Australian law this must be done at least one month before your ceremony date, so get this sorted first and everything else falls into place.

3
Zoom with your celebrant — then meet on the day

Before the big day you can jump on a Zoom with your celebrant — ask all your questions, get insider tips on locations, and talk through how the ceremony will run so there are zero surprises. On the day your celebrant meets you at your chosen location and marries you in 2 to 7 minutes. Personal vows, ring exchange, music — as much or as little personality as you want.

4
You receive your marriage certificate on the day — registered with BDM

Your celebrant provides your marriage certificate to you on the day of the ceremony. Your marriage is then registered with BDM — it is official, it is legal, and it is recognised across Australia and internationally. Your photos are delivered digitally shortly after. The rest of the day — and the rest of your life — is entirely yours.

Love Always Wins — Every Kind of Love

We are huge advocates for marriage equality. We marry football fans and Gucci lovers. Backpackers and high-income earners. LGBTQ+ couples and straight couples. Vegans and people who eat Macca's for breakfast. Couples who have been together for 20 years and couples who met six months ago. People from every culture, religion, background, and political persuasion.

No judgements. Just two registered celebrants, a signed form, and a legal marriage. Always.

Just Need the Legals Done? 📋

No ceremony, no fuss. Our paperwork-only option is a registry office style legal signing — just the required words, the forms, and done. The most efficient way to become legally married in Australia. Ask us about this when you enquire.

🇺🇸 Dreaming of a destination elopement?

Elope in the USA — Managed Entirely By Us

📺 As seen on Good Morning America NYC · Las Vegas · Los Angeles · Virginia

New York City. Las Vegas. Los Angeles. If you are dreaming of saying I do against the Manhattan skyline, in the Nevada desert, or on a Malibu beach — we can make it happen. Our US operation has been featured on Good Morning America, one of the most watched breakfast shows in America. We are not a random overseas operator. We are a legitimate, nationally recognised elopement service on both sides of the Pacific.

As an Australian company operating across the USA, we manage your entire US elopement from this end. No navigating a foreign country's marriage licence system alone. No wondering if your American officiant is legitimate. We have registered officiants and photographers across New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Virginia and New Jersey — all managed by the same team you are already talking to here in Australia.

Quick Answers

How much does it cost to elope in Australia?

An I Do Drive Thru elopement starts from $400 for a celebrant. Add a photographer from $400. Total from $800 for a complete elopement with celebrant and photographer. The Registry Office charges up to $732 for a Saturday ceremony — and that is just the ceremony, at their location, with their limited availability. With us you get more flexibility, more choice, and a better experience for the same price or less.

What is a NOIM and do I need one?

Yes — under Australian law, every couple must lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) at least one month before their ceremony. It is a simple form that your celebrant lodges with BDM on your behalf. We send you the form, explain how to fill it in, and handle the lodgement. It is much simpler than it sounds and we guide you through every step.

Do we need witnesses?

Yes — Australian law requires two witnesses at every marriage ceremony. If you want to truly elope with just the two of you, we supply witnesses for you. You do not need to bring anyone along unless you want to.

Can we get married anywhere in Australia?

Yes — we have celebrant and photographer teams in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Cairns, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, and many regional areas. Travel fees apply only for locations more than 20km from capital city centres. If you are unsure whether we cover your location, just ask — the answer is almost always yes.

How many guests can we have?

The Vegas Package covers up to 10 guests. The Fancy Pants covers up to 25 guests. The Big Kahuna covers up to 100 guests. Or just the two of you — we supply witnesses so you do not need to bring anyone at all.

Is an I Do Drive Thru ceremony legally valid?

100%. Our celebrants are all registered Commonwealth Marriage Celebrants under the Marriage Act 1961. Every ceremony we perform is legally binding in Australia, and your marriage is registered with BDM and recognised nationally and internationally. Same legal outcome as a Registry Office ceremony — with a much better story to tell.
