In 2020 I Do Drive Thru was featured on Pop News on Good Morning America — an Australian elopement company doing something the world had never quite seen before. This is where the US story began.
We Started in Melbourne. Then Good Morning America Found Us.
I Do Drive Thru USA · Elopements from $500 · New York · LA · Vegas · Virginia · and beyond
What started as an Australian elopement business in Melbourne in 2020 somehow ended up on national American television, partnering with one of the biggest fast food brands in the world, and operating across the United States. We are still not entirely sure how it happened. We are very glad it did.
That Time Good Morning America Featured Us
We were a Melbourne elopement business doing something genuinely different — short, affordable, fuss-free ceremonies anywhere couples wanted to be married. The concept caught the attention of ABC's Good Morning America, and the story ran on Pop News. An Australian drive-thru wedding company, on American national television, before we had even set foot in the United States. It was the kind of moment that tells you something. We paid attention.
Then Dunkin' Called. Yes, That Dunkin'.
Here is a sentence we did not expect to write: Dunkin' — one of the most iconic American brands with over 12,600 locations worldwide — chose I Do Drive Thru to officiate their Valentine's Day wedding promotion.
It started with a viral love story. A Dunkin' General Manager named Sugar Good met her future husband John Thompson at her drive-thru window — he ordered the same thing every morning for three years until he finally worked up the courage to give her his number. They got engaged in the Dunkin' parking lot. They got married at the same drive-thru window where they first met, surrounded by a balloon arch in Dunkin' orange and pink, a donut bouquet, and a tower of glazed and maple donuts.
That story inspired Dunkin' to launch their "Marriage is on the Menu" Valentine's Day campaign — a contest where one lucky couple would win a Dunkin' drive-thru wedding, a $500 cash prize, free wedding photography, and a gift basket of Dunkin' wedding merch. The officiants they chose for the ceremony at their Middletown, New York location? I Do Drive Thru.
We married couples at a Dunkin' drive-thru in New York on Valentine's Day weekend. It was completely absurd. It was completely wonderful. It was exactly the kind of thing that makes us proud of what we do.

What We Do in the USA
The same philosophy that built I Do Drive Thru in Australia works just as well in the United States. Couples who want to get legally married without a courthouse, without a big production, and without a price tag that takes years to pay off. A licensed officiant meets you at any location you choose — Central Park, the Hollywood sign, a rooftop in Brooklyn, Santa Monica Pier, your apartment — and marries you in 2, 5, or 7 minutes.
Elopement packages from $500, including a licensed US officiant. Add a photographer from $500. LGBTQ+ celebrated. All cultures welcome. No judgement. Ever.
🇦🇺 Why Australian Owned Matters in the US Market
There is a reason couples trust us in the United States. The same standards that built I Do Drive Thru in Australia — vetted professionals, real teams, genuine care — apply to every US booking. We are not a gig platform. We are not a side hustle. We are an Australian-owned business that has now operated across two continents, been featured on national American television, and partnered with one of the world's most recognised brands. We know what we are doing on both sides of the Pacific.
