Beach Locations to Elope

Considering I Do Drive Thru is Australia-wide (and also in the USA) here’s a list of some of the best beaches to elope all over the country.

Elope in Melbourne

If you like the rough and rugged adventure – you can’t go past Black Rock and it’s stunning cliffs and ochre colours.

Elope on the Great Ocean Road

Pick a spot, seriously!
There are some fabulous rocky outcrops from Bells Beach to Apollo Bay, and then plenty of stunning beaches the entire way along.
Twelve apostles would look magnificent for the backdrop for an elopement and Loch Ard Gorge, although bit of a trek down a myriad of stairs, totally worth the effort for the aqua water beyond.

Elope on the Bellarine Peninsula

Two words: Thirteenth Beach!
Rugged, stunning, perfect.

Elope in Adelaide

Stroll down Glenelg beach for a fabulous little elopement, then walk up the sand and celebrate your newlywed status at one of the many restaurants

Elope in Perth

Head down to some of the best city beaches in the country at Cottesloe or Scarborough or go bohemian chic in Fremantle.

Elope in Darwin

You can’t go past Mindle Beach can you?
You could be racy and go on market night, with the backdrop of fairy lights and lanterns behind if you liked… just watch out for crocs won’t you!

Elope in Far North Queensland

Port Douglas’s Four Mile Beach is quintessential FNQ with its coconut palms, long sandy beaches and rainforest creeping onto the shoreline.
Trust me, you’ve seen it in hundreds of wedding photos because it’s just so perfect.

Elope in Brisbane

Head south to Burleigh heads and celebrate at Rick Shores afterwards
And if you head north, Moffat Beach is a bit quieter and you can take your fur-baby along too!

Elope in Sydney

A city famous for its beaches, it’s hard to choose just a couple… but you’re not going to be disappointed by the sheer beauty that is Coogee.

Elope in Hobart

Carlton Beach is lovely and a really good 'beachy' area.
And then Boronia Beach is beautiful and very very secluded.
You’ll need to walk down some stairs amongst the trees to get there but it's totally worth it.

So there you have it.

Ditch the shoes, put the hair up (no one likes eating their own hair) and tie the knot in front of one of nature’s most stunning backdrops!
